Waterbuck’s Miraculous Survival in Crocodile Attack

An extraordinary event recently occurred in Serengeti, Tanzania when a waterbuck miraculously survived a bloody attack by a Nile crocodile.

The incident happened one morning when a healthy male waterbuck was drinking water at the bank of Grumeti River. Suddenly, a hungry 4m crocodile launched out of the water, clenching the victim’s hind leg in its wide-open jaws. The sharp teeth tore into flesh and skin, blood pouring profusely.

However, luck smiled upon the waterbuck. It managed to jerk itself free and leap out of the crocodile’s jaws before being dragged into the depths. Despite grievous injuries, the animal mustered its last strength to dash into the forest for escape. The savage attack left many wounds but the waterbuck luckily held onto its life. The footage capturing the event attracted online public attention, warning people about the danger posed by crocodiles in the Serengeti area.
