New trophy unveiled for 2023 King Salman Club Cup
The new trophy for the 2023 King Salman Club Cup was introduced by the Union of Arab Football Associations on Thursday. It will be awarded this weekend to the victors.
During a special occasion at Tera Mall in the western Saudi city of Taif, the tournament’s brand-new trophy, also known as the Arab Club Champions Cup, was unveiled.
The trophy was created by Sports Partners International and has elements from the headscarf, one of the representations of official Saudi clothing. A golden soccer ball sits above it, and the tournament’s name is inscribed at the bottom. It has a 24-carat gold plating over bronze-coated copper, weighs 6.1 kilograms, and is 39.5 cm tall.
Mu’eed Al-Shahri, the director of the competition, and Abdullah Al-Zayedi, the head of the Taif Ministry of Sports, attended the reveal as special guests. After that, spectators may get their picture taken with the trophy.
The competition’s championship match will be played between Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr on August 12 at 7 o’clock at King Fahd Stadium in Taif.
